Velar is a small village surrounded by hills in the Pali district of Rajasthan in India. It has a population of nearly 800 inhabitants. It is attached to the western railway, the nearest station being Nana (6 km).
Velar has a history dating back to more than a thousand years and hosts many temples.This village is very old. It was in existant at 1000 AC and proof are there which shows that it was in existant at the time of ruler Prithiviraj Chouhan. The names of the shoulders of VELAR died during the HALDI GHATI WAR is there in records of Mewar Rajputana History.
