Kyle Hannan is a broadcast radio professional originally from South Africa. Long associated with culturally or socially innovative community media initiatives, he is referenced on the websites of South African student radio service Rhodes Music Radio and pioneering UK Muslim-Jewish broadcaster Radio Salaam Shalom. He oversaw the establishment of the first community radio station in Nelson Mandela's home region of Umtata and was also closely involved in several Bristol-based community radio projects and Festival radio stations in the UK, including Glastonbury and the Isle of Wight. He was a Director of Bristol's first community radio station BCfm before resigning in 2008.
