Harpyhaliaetus is a genus of eagles. Recent studies have shown that the Solitary Eagle is closely related to the black-hawks, in particular the rather similar Savanna Hawk (Buteogallus meridionalis). Therefore, this genus may be merged into that of the black-hawks.
