Ashikaga Yoshikane (足利義兼?) (c. 1154 - April 5, 1199) became head of the Ashikaga clan during the reign of Emperor Konoe (reigned 1142-1155).

As context: In the same month, Konoe's regent, Sesshō Minamoto-no Tadamichi, resigned his position in the court; and then he is named Daijō Daijin. [1]

Yoshikane was the third son of Ashikaga Yoshikasu.[2]
