Alex Teixeira Santos or simply Alex Teixeira (born January 6, 1990 in Duque de Caxias), is a Brazilian Attacking Midfielder. He currently plays for Vasco da Gama.
Alex has been promoted to the senior squad for the tour of Dubai in January 2008 and Vasco have also turned down a bid from Manchester United and it is believed that David Moyes has shown interest in bringing this player to Everton Football Club. Vasco are now negotiating for Alex to sign a new deal which will keep him at the club until 2013.[1][2]
Alex is also capped at Under-17 level for Brazil.[3]
