Abteen, also known as Abtin or Obteene (Persian: آبتين) is a character in Shahnama (national epic of Iran), Fereydun's father. His name means "The one with good thoughts, good words and good deeds" (see Zoroastrian). Abteen is also synonymous with sphinx.

It is not Abteen or Obteene it should be witten as Aubtin to be pronounced exactly the same as austin
