Shaikh Abu Ibrahim Abdul Majid Ali Hasan Bapu is a well known preacher who gained prominence in the city of Ajman in the United Arab Emirates. His Friday sermons in English are famous for drawing Muslims from different parts of the country.

Born in Mumbai, India in 1964, Shaikh Abdul Majeed has a B.A. in Sociology (From University of Calicut, Kerala, India in 1997), M.A. in Islamic Studies & Arabic Literature (From Osmania University, Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh, India in 2000. But being a humble man, he always credits Shaikh Zafar-ul-Hasan Madani as his teacher, mentor and shaikh. He has also memorized Kitaab At Tawheed and Bulugh Al Maraam.
He worked as an Imam and Khateeb for the Ajman Awqaf before being appointed in the UK as a Minister of Religion. He worked under Dr. Abu Ameenah Bilal Philips as a researcher in the latter's Islamic department in Dar-Ul-Fath Publishers. Later, he co-founded the Islamic Studies program at Preston University in Ajman with Dr. Bilal Philips.At present he lives in the United Kingdom in Luton where he conducts various classes and Jum'aah Khutbahs.He gives Friday sermons in English there as well.
In Ajman, he helped numerous people afflicted by jinns and the evil eye by using Ruqya based on the Qur'an & Sunnah. Many people consider him an authority on exorcism. He also conducted regular classes wherein he taught books such as "Differences of Opinion amongst the Scholars" by Shaikh Ibn Uthaimeen & "The Three Fundamental Principles" by Shaikh Muhammad ibn Abd al Wahhab and also conducted Tajweed & Hifz classes.
Shaikh Abdul Majeed was also known for helping out Muslims in distress & regularly made announcements in the mosques after the Friday prayer to exhort people to help a Muslim in distress financially or in any way possible.
He was also a prominent guest on several major Islamic shows on Sharjah TV where he regularly appeared on shows hosted by Uthmaan Barry and Shaikh Abdul Qayyum Bastawi. In an incident that left the audience in fits of laughter, he blasted away at a doctor who claimed that psychosomatic diseases were often mistaken for jinn possession. Dr. Abdul Majeed boasted of his bodybuilding past before tearing the doctor's argument to shreds.
