ABC Circle Films (also known as ABC Productions) was the ABC film and TV production division. It was well known for producing many TV shows such as Moonlighting and America's Funniest Home Videos . The company was named after the ABC Circle logo.
ABC's production division grew over the years due to acquisitions and mergers with other companies, most notably Orion Television in 1991 (though their library wasn't part of the deal).
The ABC Productions logo has been plastered on 1989-1997 episodes of America's Funniest Home Videos.while since Buena Vista Television (now Disney-ABC Domestic Television) acquired rights of America's Funniest Home Videos from 20th Television (is successor of MTM Enterprises) in 2000.
When The Walt Disney Company purchased ABC in 1996, it was absorbed by its Touchstone Pictures holding, through their Touchstone Television (now ABC Studios) subsidiary. Today, The Walt Disney Company's The Walt Disney Studios now owns the rights to the library.
